Do I have to give notice when I quit a job?
In Canada generally and Ontario specifically you probably should give notice but it might not be an absolute requirement in all circumstances. Two excellent articles linked at the close of this nugget will be helpful.
Our general rule would be to act like a professional.
Honour your current employer and don't burn bridges…don't risk potential references.
